CTN 2013 Recap
Here’s a quick recap of my 2013 CTN experience. Wow what a great time! My one regret is that I didn’t get to hang out and meet as many of the Oatley Academy people as I would have liked. I was so busy with workshops and meeting up with friends that I didn’t allow enough time to socialize with OAers.
CTN was packed with people. This was my third time going and it keeps on growing and growing. CTN seemed a bit unorganized again but there is so many quality demos, workshops, talks and exhibitors it really doesn’t matter.
The workshops were all great. Wouter Tulp's 5 Principles talk and Ty Carter's Color and Design workshop were amazing. And Giancarlo Volpe's two part storyboarding workshop was jam packed with info and funny stories. Carol Police's interview of Claire Keane was super inspirational and had people in tears. But my favorite was Rob Edwards writing workshop. Edwards was a writer on Princess and the Frog, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and a bunch of other cool stuff. For those of you guys who are interested in story check out his blog, it’s packed full of information.
Fun stuff. I’ll leave you with a fuzzy sketch of John Nevarez I did during his talk with Nate Wragg and Hedi Smith.
